PRINT HOUSE · JOB MANAGEMENT

How can a print shop keep customer jobs organised?

A clear job record connects the customer, the end client brand, every garment line and the decisions that move the order forward.

Short answer: Give each job one record, then keep the customer and end client brand distinct. Add each garment style as its own line with its source, colours, sizes, quantities, artwork, placements, quotation, approval and production notes. Keep revisions traceable so the team can see which version was reviewed.

Keep the businesses and brands distinct

A print shop may work with a customer that manages several fashion or client brands. Record the print shop, its customer and the end client brand as separate parties. Link the job to the customer and the brand it is for, then record the people who request, review or approve the work.

This makes it easier to find previous work by customer, brand, job reference, garment or production status without treating every end client as the print shop account.

Give each garment style its own line

A single project may contain T shirts, hoodies, caps or other garments. Keep each style, supplier or external source, garment colour, size range and quantity breakdown together. Add the relevant artwork, decoration method, print or embroidery positions, labels and finishing for that line.

Do not assume that every garment in the order has the same supplier, colour range, decoration method or quantity. Customer supplied garments need their own expected arrival and receipt details.

Keep quote, artwork and approval versions together

A garment mockup can explain visual placement, but the production team still needs to confirm suitability, setup and the final proof.

How a shared job record can help

Garment Studio Print House is being developed around connected customer, brand and job records. Its local preview demonstrates garment lines, artwork, quote drafts, proof decisions and production planning in one workflow. Hosted accounts, customer messaging and live order processing are not active.

Common questions

Can one order include several garment types?

Yes. Keep each garment style as its own line with its own source, colour, size quantities, artwork placement and decoration details.

Should the end client brand have its own record?

When a customer manages work for several brands, recording the end client brand separately helps keep artwork, contacts and job history organised.

Does a mockup replace production approval?

No. A mockup communicates the intended appearance. The production team should confirm process details and the final proof before work starts.
